Changes in weight, growing older and heredity can cause your upper arms to have a drooping, sagging look. This is a condition that can’t be corrected with exercise. This causes many patients to be embarrassed and to seek treatment to restore a slimmer, more youthful appearance.
WHAT IS BRACHIOPLASTY
A brachioplasty or arm lift is surgery to remove excess fat or sagging skin from the upper arm. Dr. Whetstone has undergone extensive training and performed hundreds of successful surgeries for patients in various circumstances. After consulting with you regarding your wishes and expectations, he will craft a treatment plan to create the best possible results.

The best way to know if brachioplasty surgery is right for you is to meet with Dr. Whetstone for a complimentary consultation.
RECOVERY FROM BRACHIOPLASTY
Recovery will vary with each individual. You will experience some discomfort and your arms may feel tight for the first couple of weeks. Most patients are back to work in a week and back to the gym in 3-4 weeks. You will be placed in a compression garment after your surgery, to be worn at all times the first two weeks. Before surgery, you will be given specific postoperative instructions to follow for a smooth recovery.
RESULTS FROM BRACHIOPLASTY
The results are immediately visible but you will see the final results within weeks. Over time the scars will fade. This procedure gives patients a boost in self confidence and the freedom to wear clothes they could not before. The results can be long lasting provided you maintain a stable weight and general fitness.
