RECOVERY AFTER OTOPLASTY
Your healing process will be relatively quick .The patient’s head will be wrapped in a bandage immediately following surgery to promote the best molding and healing. This can be replaced the next day with a soft headband. The ears may ache a little for a few days, but this can be relieved by oral pain medication. Most adults can return to work in about 2-3 days and children can go back to school after a week or so. Before surgery, you will be given specific postoperative instructions to follow for a smooth recovery.
RESULTS FROM OTOPLASTY
Ear surgery will yield long lasting results for your ears. The scars will be permanent but hidden. This surgery will leave patients with a renewed self confidence.
